About Our Director Shannon Calderon Primeau, director and owner of Everything Goes Dance Studio since 1995, has been dancing since the age of three and is the director of Las Americas Dance Troupe and the Everything Goes Dance Company. Shannon studied ballet, pointe, tap, jazz and flamenco under Jimmie & Carol Crowell. She also studied flamenco and folkloric in Mexico with El Arca, and tap and jazz in Los Angeles with Patsye Swayze, and flamenco greats Lydia Torea, Jose Junco and Adela Clara.
Shannon was honored as one of Oklahoma's official Artists in Residence and is an instructor with the National Endowment for the Arts Creative Communities program. Recently Shannon has been performing with world-renowned guitarists Edgar Cruz and Ruben Romero, and flamenco great Catalina Rio-Fernandez in FLAMENCO LIVE! Shannon is founder and artistic director of ZUMBAMBA! dance extravaganza. Shannon was the featured dancer/choreographer of OPERA OLE! with Canterbury Chorale Society and the OKC Philharmonic Orchestra. Shannon's mission is to share the joys of dance with Oklahoma Cityans through teaching and performances. Shannon teaches jazz, tap, ballet, Latin and flamenco, and she choreographs many of our performances. Shannon was featured at the San Diego, California Performing Arts Theatre and in flamenco videos for PBS Television.
